Maura, Jessie, Destiny

 

Jessie Holly, Director/Teacher

Jessie graduated from St. Cloud State in 2005 with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  She has many years of experience as a teacher as well as with the licensing side of child care, having previously been an in-home child care provider for eight years as well as having Director responsibilities at Edina Morningside for the past 4 years. This is her seventh year at Edina Morningside Preschool and she is very excited for the new school year! Jessie enjoys watching preschoolers discover the world around them through play and hands-on learning. She lives in Plymouth with her husband, Josh, and their two children, Emily and Evan. Emily is currently a Literacy Tutor through Reading Corps. Evan is in 6th grade and loves to read and play basketball.

 

Destiny Rock, Teacher

Destiny studied Early Childhood Development at the University of Minnesota, Go Gophers!  This will be her 14th year at Edina Morningside Preschool.  She also worked with teenagers in the Minneapolis parks and elementary school children in Minneapolis. Preschool is her favorite age to teach and work with. Destiny loves art and science, especially hands-on fun and nature exploration. She excels at helping kids work through their hurts, problems and frustrations. She lives nearby in Minneapolis with her husband, Royce, and their 11 year old son, Maceo!  As a family, they enjoy music, traveling, camping and gardening together. Maceo is attending 6th grade and loves fishing, soccer and making comics.

 

Maura Lunieski, Teacher

Maura graduated from Seton Hall University (New Jersey) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and Elementary/Early Childhood Education and a minor in English. She started her career in New Jersey before moving to Anchorage, Alaska with her husband, John (a former Edina Morningside Preschool alum!). They have three sons- Casey (10), Colin (8)- both former students of Edina Morningside Preschool- and Nicholas (4.5) who will be joining the Morningside family this year! Maura has been a part of the Edina Morningside Preschool family since 2014 as a parent. 2021 marks her first year as a proud Morningside teacher! She loves this school because it feels like family! She is very excited to continue Morningside’s traditions of learning through fun, building friendships, and being a part of a truly special community!
