United Church of Christ
Our Purpose Statement (Adopted May 2018)

We exist for “sharing the joy of Christ’s love by welcoming and serving”.

Our Mission (Adopted April 2013)

At Edina Morningside Community Church, we create a vibrant home for spiritual exploration and growth, where we care, learn, create, and serve with each other in times of joy and in times of challenge. We warmly welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Together we deepen our connection with our Creator, and live Christ’s commandment to love one another.

Our Vision (Adopted April 2013)

We welcome all into our loving Christian community. We strengthen families, friends, each other and our wider community as we joyously rise to the challenge of living Jesus Christ’s example.

Our Safer Church Covenant of Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Wellness (Adopted June 2019)

Edina Morningside Church creates and sustains a spiritual community in which members, friends, staff and volunteers can worship, learn, socialize, and work together in a respectful and caring atmosphere. Trusting that God is present in all, we covenant to respect the bodies, emotions, intellects and spirits of all. Through every church interaction, with reverence and humility, we honor the full humanity of every person, striving to serve God in others and ourselves. (Read our full Safer Church Covenant and Policy here, updated October 2020).
