Policies

Responsibility Policy:

Morningside Theatre takes every precaution in order to guarantee your safety while participating in its programs. It is understood that Morningside Theatre, Edina Morningside Community Church UCC, and any of its employees or contractors cannot be held responsible for incidents resulting in injury or illness. 

Photo Policy:

All photos and video recordings made of the actors during theatre camps are the sole property of Morningside Theatre and may be used to promote the Theatre and its programs.

COVID-19 Policy:

Morningside Theatre Company will continue to follow the advice and guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health, the CDC and Edina Morningside Community Church’s COVID-19 Taskforce. The safety & well-being of our campers, audiences, staff and volunteers is our top priority, and we reserve the right to change our protocols if community levels of COVID-19 rise in our area.

For the safety of our staff and campers, we will be requiring that all participants and employees who are eligible, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start of camp. This requirement will not change for Spring/Summer 2024.

Refund Policy:

Summer Refund Policy:

  • Before or on April 15th – Tuition is refundable minus a $5.00 administrative fee
  • Between April 16th – May 15th – Tuition is refundable minus a $50.00 administrative fee.
  • No refunds will be made on/after May 16th. 

Workshop/School Year Camps:

  • 6 weeks before camp begins – Tuition is refundable minus a $5.00 administrative fee
  • Between 3-6 weeks before camp begins – Tuition is refundable minus a $50.00 administrative fee.
  • 3 weeks before camp begins – No refunds will be made on/after.

In the event that MTC must cancel any camp due to COVID-19 prior to the start of camp, full refunds will be made. Should camp already be in session, refunds will be prorated.

Conflict Policy:

Elementary Shows, Workshops, Classes – No more than ONE known conflict for this camp, with none in the final week of camp or performances. 

Middle School, High School Summer Shows – No more than TWO known conflicts for this camp, with none in the final week of camp or performances. 

Fall & Spring Productions – No more than FOUR known conflicts for this camp, with none in the final week of camp or performances.

Audition Policy:

It is our expectation that actors attend auditions of each show in which they participate. If you/your child is unavailable for the original audition date, one alternative date will be offered. If you/your child is not available for the original date or the alternative date, they will be asked to submit an audition video.
