LOTTERY UPDATE 1/8/23
We’ve been blown away by the number of folks who have entered our Summer 2023 camp lottery! We are so grateful for families new and returning, for sharing their interest in MTC’s camps. As we continue to expand our programming in order to serve as many families as possible, we still find there only so many weeks within summer. Unfortunately, this means not all who entered each lottery this year will have a spot. We hate to disappoint excited kids and eager families. Morningside’s cozy basement mainstage can only hold so many campers.
While this summer’s programming and capacity is set, we offer multiple workshops and events throughout the year and we are already in discussions about how to expand further for summer 2024 and beyond. A big part of MTC’s mission is evolving and enlarging our yearly camps to serve as many families as possible.
Lottery results will be sent out on Friday, February 10th by 9PM.
Full registration and tuition down payment are due by February 16th by 10PM.
Remaining camp spots will be released on Saturday, February 18th.

KIDS THEATRE CAMP – TWO SESSIONS (completed K-1st grade)
Introduce your young one to the joys of musical theatre through this engaging and playful camp. The two sessions of kid’s theatre camp focuses on using our imagination through performance and learning stage basics, singing and movement along the way. A short recital for family and friends ends this week-long camp.
SESSION A: M-F June 26-30, 10-12pm
SESSION B: M-F June 26-30, 2-4pm
Tuition: $135 (Need-based partial scholarships available. Please inquire for an application.)
Annie KIDS – TWO SESSIONS (completed 2nd-5th grade)
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie KIDS features the beloved songs “Tomorrow,” “Hard Knock Life,” and many more! These two-week theatre intensive culminates in a 30-minute kids musical, with three performances for each session.

Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS (completed 2nd-5th grade)
In the heart of Paris, a kind and eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. Laughs and adventure ensue as the greedy, bumbling butler pulls off the ultimate catnap caper. Now it’s up to the rough-and-tumble alley cat, Thomas O’Malley, and his band of swingin’ jazz cats to save the day. This two-week theatre intensive culminates in a 30-minute kids musical, with three performances.

Legally Blonde The Musical JR. (completed 6th-9th grade)
Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde The Musical JR. is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show’s instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor, wit and sass — leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink! This three-week theatre intensive culminates in a 60-minute junior musical, with four performances.

Urinetown, the Musical (completed 6th-12th grade)
Pretty bad title, right? This three-time Tony award winning satirical comedy musical explores the legal system, populism, municipal politics and musical theatre itself! Urinetown urges the audience to think critically about the events unfolding before them and find the ways this outlandish story connects to the world we live in today… through laughter. This three-week theatre all-day intensive culminates in a full length musical, with four performances.
