Front Porch Fridays

Make some new friends and try out a few new activities!

On the second or third Friday of each month, Edina Morningside Church members, friends and relatives get together to explore a variety of museums, exhibits and gardens in the Twin Cities, and then find an interesting place nearby to eat lunch.

We have viewed Vatican Treasures at the Minnesota History Center, Dead Sea Scrolls at the Science Museum, Audubon engravings at the Bell Museum, the Hapsburg exhibit and Art in Bloom at Mia (formerly the Minneapolis Institute of Arts), visited the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, viewed Icons at the Russian Art Museum and experienced the awe and mysteries of Westminster Church in Minneapolis and the Hindu Temple in Maple Grove. Sometimes we go even further afield — by staying right at home! On those Fridays, which often occur in January and February, our Front Porch is the Edina Morningside Fellowship Hall, where we view slide shows and presentations by people who have traveled to fun and exotic destinations, or who just have an interesting story to tell.

We traditionally meet at the church at 10 a.m. and car pool to site.

Come join us … we would love to have you!
